Margate
Nine square miles of tree-lined streets
Margate is the 14th largest of Broward County's 31 cities, covering nine square miles threaded with 30 miles of canals. It sits 7.5 miles from the Atlantic and about 20 minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades.
The city is known for a genuine hometown feel backed by strong municipal services — 19 parks and recreation facilities including the Calypso Cove aquatics complex, an award-winning police department, and an ISO Class I fire department. It has been recognized as one of Florida's safest cities.
Buying or selling in Margate?
Lenworth Chisholm has been writing contracts in Margate and the surrounding Broward County cities since 1985. That means honest pricing guidance, a read on which properties are actually worth pursuing, and a negotiator who has seen how these deals go wrong before they do.
